Winter Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1.25 L (5 cups) of prepared Instant Brown Gravy Mix, Gluten-Free, Low Sodium
  • 200 g (7 oz) of butter, salted
  • 1.2 kg (3 lbs) of beef, cubes
  • 175 g (6 oz) of bacon, cubes
  • 700 g (2 lbs) of potatoes, large cubes
  • 300 g (10 oz) of carrots, large cubes
  • 300 g (10 oz) of onion, diced
  • 6 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 35 mL (7 tsp) of thyme, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Prepare the Brown gravy according to package directions, set aside.
  • In a large sauce pot, melt butter and sear the beef and bacon over high heat.
  • Add all the vegetables to the pot.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and allow the stew to simmer until the meat is tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Serve this dish over top of some rice or quinoa seasoned with the Greek Luda Booster.
