Ingredients

  • 56 g of Onion Soup Mix
  • 125 mL (1/2 cup) of white wine
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 4 chicken breast
  • 375 mL (1 1/2 cup) of grated mozzarella
  • 500 mL (2 cups) of water
  • pepper, to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 205°C (400°F).
  • In a saucepan, whisk onion soup mix with the white wine and water. Add chopped onions and cook for 5 minutes over low-medium heat. Remove from heat.
  • Season breasts with pepper.
  • In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Brown the chicken breasts for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  • Place breasts in a 33 cm x 23 cm (13″ x 9″) baking dish. Coat chicken breasts with onion mixture. Cover with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until the inside of the chicken has lost its pink color.
