Turkey Meatloaf with Apple and Cranberries
This recipe is inspired by the staple meatloaf but given a modern and fruity twist. Operationally efficient and affordable, this tasty dish might just become a new favourite on your menu! This recipe can make a welcome change from the roast turkey for thanksgiving.

Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease two loaf pans.
- Prepare the poultry gravy according to instructions on package, set aside and keep warm.
- Prepare the culinary tomato sauce base according to instructions on package and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix turkey, oil, onion, garlic, celery, apple, cranberries, poultry gravy dry mix, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, salt and pepper.
- Use your hands to blend the ingredients thoroughly.
- Split the mixture into the greased loaf pans and delicately press down with hands to spread evenly.
- Brush loaves’ tops with the culinary tomato sauce.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes on the middle rack or until internal temperature reaches 74°C.
- When cooked, allow the loaves to cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Slice and serve covered with the poultry gravy and a side of sauteed green beans.
Cover with a scrumptious turkey or poultry gravy, and serve with a side of sauteed green beans or a green salad.
Ingredients
- 500 mL (2 cups) of prepared Instant Poultry Gravy Mix, Gluten-Free, Low Sodium
- 125 mL (1/2 cup) of prepared
- 1 kg of ground turkey
- 30 mL (2 tbsp) of olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 green apple, peeled, cored, and finely chopped
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) dried cranberries, chopped
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) dry mix of Instant Poultry Gravy Mix, Gluten-Free, Low Sodium
- 125 mL (1/2 cup) of All Purpose Breading Mix
- 2 eggs
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) of milk
- 2 mL (1/2 tsp) of salt
- 2 mL (1/2 tsp) of white pepper
