Turkey Meatloaf with Apple and Cranberries

This recipe is inspired by the staple meatloaf but given a modern and fruity twist. Operationally efficient and affordable, this tasty dish might just become a new favourite on your menu! This recipe can make a welcome change from the roast turkey for thanksgiving.

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease two loaf pans.
  • Prepare the poultry gravy according to instructions on package, set aside and keep warm.
  • Prepare the culinary tomato sauce base according to instructions on package and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix turkey, oil, onion, garlic, celery, apple, cranberries, poultry gravy dry mix, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, salt and pepper.
  • Use your hands to blend the ingredients thoroughly.
  • Split the mixture into the greased loaf pans and delicately press down with hands to spread evenly.
  • Brush loaves’ tops with the culinary tomato sauce.
  • Bake for 45-60 minutes on the middle rack or until internal temperature reaches 74°C.
  • When cooked, allow the loaves to cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Slice and serve covered with the poultry gravy and a side of sauteed green beans.

Cover with a scrumptious turkey or poultry gravy, and serve with a side of sauteed green beans or a green salad.
